About Kathy Gray Ministries
Our mission is to awaken the Body of Christ to the fact that He still speaks through dreams, and to provide biblical tools for faithful interpretation.
You may have clicked on this website because you’re curious about dreams, but you’re thinking, “Hey, is this a New Age thing disguised as a Christian thing?” If so, I can assure you - you’re not the only one.
Here’s a bit of my story and how I got here - teaching and writing on dream interpretation through a biblical lens.
I grew up in a vibrant evangelical ministry family with a high value on the Word of God and discipleship.
Dream interpretation never even blipped on my radar for the first 30 years of my life. Which is ironic because I dreamed vividly every night. In my case though, most nights I would wake up yelling, terrorized by a nightmare - or screaming at whatever dark manifestation I saw in my bedroom. Not my idea of a good time!
I thought there was something seriously wrong with me. None of my friends or community in the ministry had these types of experiences. I felt so different, and rarely if ever talked about dreams. In our circles the dreams were attributed to a “vivid imagination.” The dark spiritual encounters? “Hallucinations.” What else could they be?
That all changed when I was 29 and became aware of buried trauma in my life. Much to my surprise, as God helped me walk through healing in the light of day, the nightmares faded into a thing of the past. What a relief to sleep through the night undisturbed!
But the frequency and vividness of the dreams stayed the same. I’ll admit that in my opinion dreams were just a nuisance. I had absolutely no grid for them carrying any meaning. Which in hindsight is odd because the bible I had read many times was brimming with dreams and visions. Just hiding there in plain sight.
A few years after the incredible freedom from nightmares, I had a conversation with a kindred spirit I’d known since high school that changed everything. Again.
“You do know that your dreams mean something, right?”
Actually, no, I did not know that.
My friend pointed me to a biblically grounded resource, Streams Ministries, founded by John Paul Jackson. I attended multiple three-day conferences, slowly orienting to a scriptural paradigm for understanding dreams and visions.
The sessions were packed with biblical instruction on the multi-faceted character of God, zeroing in on our character aligning with His. Scripture after Scripture was unpacked in ways I had never seen. And as a bonus, I discovered I wasn’t the only one “like me”!
I began journaling my dreams and working through them with the Holy Spirit and with others. And unlike earlier in my life, I pretty much talked to everyone about dreams and dream interpretation!
As you might imagine, that was met with mixed reviews in evangelical circles. Some were cautiously open to the idea, but most responded with blank stares, quickly changed the subject, or warned me about the dangers of dream interpretation, urging me to focus solely on the Bible.
In 2016, I was catching up with a ministry leader in our area. Many of the women she was mentoring were experiencing dreams and visions. She asked if I would be willing to teach them, helping them to process these encounters. I took about a half a second to think it over before saying, “I’d love to!”
And from there, the different levels of “ A New Lens” seminars took shape.
I discovered so many in our area that were hungry to grow in understanding in the more “mystical” ways of God. A flourishing community of dreamers was born and is still going strong.
I have personally experienced dreams and heard hundreds of others’ dreams shedding light on our hearts, helping with raising kids, correction on unfruitful patterns, wisdom in relationships, promises of reconciliation and prodigals coming home, and strategy for praying God’s will into reality!
I’ve had the privilege of teaching dream interpretation through a biblical lens around the US and in Europe. Along the way, especially with those in mind who are much like I was, I dove into writing a book on dreams. A New Lens: Encountering God Through Dreams, released in 2025.
